Call for Applications 

Dear applicants,
TBICS-WKU is now accepting applications for the first round of professional development training in Advanced Research Methods (Econometrics Methods using Statistical Software: SPSS, STATA, EVIEWS & PSM) from January 04-30, 2019 at Wolkite University, Wolkite, Ethiopia.
The Following courses will be offered:
  • Mixed Research Design
  • Cross sectional Data analysis (Logit, Probit, Tobit, order Probit, bivariate Probit and multi logit) using STATA software
    •   Advanced Cross sectional data analysis
  •  Panel and Time series data analysis using STATA and Eviews statistical software
    •   Advanced Panel Data Analysis
    • Advanced Time series Data Analysis

The deadline for application is January 30, 2019.

The training will be undertaken in two rounds;
Cohort 1: For Ethiopian. This training will undertake from February 10-15, 2019.
Cohort 2: For Trainers comes from outside Ethiopia. This training will undertake from March 1-15, 2019.

I will invite you to read this book "Introduction to Econometrics: Theory and Practice with Stata"  by Tesfaye (2017). This book is published in May, 2017 and its soft copy is available on line, and many foreigners are the usage this book unlike Ethiopians'. To say few about this book , it looks like lecture note and it is medicine any of  one who consider econometrics as the bottleneck of doing research. If you read this book, you will easily understand how to do with econometrics and emperical studies at undergraduate, postgraute and post doctoral philosophy.
